Data science recommendations

With the development of IoT (Internet of Things) in recent years, a huge amount of data collected in physical space is stored in cyberspace every day as big data. In the Society 5.0 society that Japan is aiming for, it is believed that the utilization of this big data will bring various innovations to society. In order to generate such innovation, it is necessary to mechanically analyze, analyze, and interpret the stored big data. And the study that can systematically learn them is “data science”. Data science knowledge and analytical skills are strongly sought after in a wide range of industries, from the service industry to the manufacturing industry, and a society is approaching that is premised on learning data science.

At our university, we have jointly developed a new electronic teaching material with Kikagaku Co., Ltd. so that not only information systems but also all students and researchers can study data science and master data science in their respective research fields. This teaching material consists of the basic edition (TK Basic series) and the advanced edition (TK Advance series) of data science, and combines self-study using electronic textbooks (E-Learning teaching materials) and practical exercises using data processing tools. It is a thing. Data science subjects using this university’s original teaching materials include “Basics of Mathematical and Data Science Exercises”, “Basics of Data Science Exercises”, and “Data Science”.
There is an exercise application. These subjects are for second graders and above, but for first graders, “Probability / Statistics” and “Programming Exercises” are prepared as subjects to learn the basic knowledge of data science.

Take this opportunity to learn data science and become an innovator in the future society.
